A beautiful song with a cool drum groove. Blink 182’s I miss you drums is an interesting evolution of an (ab)used rock 4/4 groove. Right hand plays rimshot or a block on last 16th and second 16th in 2 and 3 movent. Also, leaving unplayed usual 8th notes rythm on hi hat make groove sounds cool. That’s enough to create a new fascinatig, simple groove. Hi hat is foot played.
Interessante variazione di un groove in 4/4 tra i più usati. In questo caso la novità è tutta nell’aver portato sul block (o sul campanaccio o su un pad elettronico) due sedicesimi che di solito vengono suonati come ghost note sul rullante: l’ultimo del secondo quarto e il secondo del terzo. Anche il non avere il solito accompagnamento in ottavi sull’hihat, che invece è lasciato ‘vuoto’ rende il groove molto più interessante.
